The formula was not too different from what had gone on before, but the key was to feature a liberal couple that was married AND over the age of 30! Shocking idea that actually worked. It led the way for Knots Landing which took the ball and ran. The show ended when Willie ran out of hot girlfriends to date. He should have stuck with Salina
